Suzani kolekce: Spojení Tradičního Řemesla s Moderní Elegancí

Suzani collection: Combining Traditional Craftsmanship with Modern Elegance

During my last visit to India, I was looking for the most suitable materials for the new collection. I went through the markets, selected silk fabrics, but I kept searching. One day I discovered a small shop where they sold old fabrics with mirrors that were several decades old. I immediately fell in love with these fabrics. The fabrics were so unique and different from anything I had ever seen. Although some of the fabrics were torn, I bought a few pieces. Time had left its mark on them, but that was what gave them a special charm. I realized that I had to find a way to revive these fabrics and transfer their uniqueness into new designs.

Suzani, a traditional embroidery technique originating in Central Asia, is characterized by rich patterns and detailed motifs. It came to India through trade routes and over the years has become part of India's textile tradition. Originally, these fabrics were used as decorative blankets, curtains or pillows. They were valued for their aesthetics and the craftsmanship behind them. Today, Suzani embroidery is used both by traditional hand techniques and modern machines, making these wonderful textiles more widely available. On my website you will find both types of embroidery, which correspond to different price categories, but retain their uniqueness and beauty.

The history of Suzani goes back deep into the past when these embroidered fabrics were created as part of wedding gifts and home decorations. The most common motifs that appear on Suzani fabrics include floral patterns, sunflowers, tulips and other plant motifs that symbolize growth, life and fertility. Geometric patterns and stylized animal motifs are also common and often have symbolic meaning. Each design is carefully selected and has its own history and meaning, giving each piece a unique value and story.

I have spent the last few months in close contact with various artisans who would create fabrics and designs to my liking. It was a demanding period full of negotiations, measurements, inventing cuts and discussing fabrics. In the end, however, we created kimonos and vests from Suzani embroidered fabrics that are unique and always one of a kind. Each piece is carefully made in small family workshops, where the traditional embroidery technique is preserved, but also modern procedures are used to achieve the best quality.

The new Suzani collection is a celebration of traditional craftsmanship and modern elegance. Each coat and each vest is unique, carrying the story of the artisans who created them and my personal journey to discover the best materials. The collection is intended for those who appreciate originality, handwork and cultural heritage.

Immerse yourself in the world of Suzani and discover pieces that not only decorate, but also tell a story.
