A unique journal covered with fabric made from recycled silk saris. Each piece is created from silk fabrics that I personally select for making clothing and accessories. These fabrics are thus given a new life.
Inside you will find blank pages, ideal for writing, sketching, or personal notes.
Two options are available:
• coated paper
• recycled paper with a fine texture
Both types of paper are unlined and beautifully complement the character of the handmade journal. The cover is soft, gentle to the touch, and naturally follows the texture of the original fabric.
The journal is suitable as a personal notebook, travel diary, or a gift for someone to whom you want to give a piece of a story.
These journals were born from my desire to use fabrics that I commonly work with when making clothing. During my travels in India, I often select recycled silk saris – garments worn by Indian women that carry years of life, stories, and tradition.
When working with them, I always felt sorry for the discarded or cut-off pieces that no longer had a chance to become clothing. That’s how the idea to create a collection of journals that give these fabrics a new purpose came about.
