Batik handbag Tulsi
My handbag was dyed with flowers and natural dyes by women from the Saheli Women organization in Rajasthan. The flowers on the fabric are not printed. They are real flowers that have imprinted their color onto the fabric. That’s why each handbag is a little different.
Saheli Women provides work for women from villages in Rajasthan, for whom working in this organization is a path to their own income and independence. Saheli Women received an award in Milan for their approach to ethical fashion.
Material: The handbag is made from modal, a fabric derived from beech wood, which feels almost as soft as silk to the touch. Inside, it has a cotton lining. The strap can be tightened or loosened, so you can adjust it exactly as you need.
Zip length: 32 cm
Material: modal, cotton lining, dyed with flowers and natural dyes
Natural dyes have their own life. Wearing and exposure to light can gently change them—that’s part of natural dyeing. To keep your Padma handbag lasting a long time, wash it by hand gently.
I personally traveled to meet the women of Saheli Women in their workshop in Rajasthan. I sat with them, watched how they worked, and knew that this was exactly the kind of collaboration that makes sense.
This collection took over a year to create. It was a long journey from that visit to the finished collection. We selected fabrics, refined the cuts, and tested which flowers would produce which colors.
And finally, a limited collection was born.
Scarves are made of 100% silk. Shirts and handbags are made from modal, a fine fabric produced from beech wood, which feels almost like silk and holds color beautifully.
All pieces are dyed with flowers and natural dyes. Natural dyes have their own life and may gently change with wear or exposure to sunlight. This is part of natural dyeing.
Hand wash in cold water. Dry in the shade, not in direct sunlight.

Your feedback
"I bought 4 pieces at once from the Suzani collection and they are all absolutely beautiful! The description and photos are true to the original, and the package was carefully prepared. I highly praise and thank you for allowing me to wear such beautiful original clothing made from pleasant materials."
"Dresses, diaries, jewelry, backpacks, I have them all and I love them. Everything is perfect, and a woman immediately feels more confident. I wouldn't give up any of these things."
The kimono is precisely embroidered. I have imagined something like this for a long time, but here in the Czech Republic, I hadn't come across anything similar until now. Thank you very much for such craftsmanship and the opportunity to support handmade products. :)
